India’s U-19 Cricketer Manjot Kalra Wiki Biography, Age Height, Father, Family Record, Ranking, Batting, Teams, Success Story and Facts details:  Manjot Kalra is an Indian Cricketer who is currently representing India in the U-19 World Cup. He is one of the talented batsman in the Indian domestic circuit. Manjot Kalra was in the news when Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) initiated new age verification process in response to the questions raised over eligibility of Under-19 skipper Manjot Kalra. He was later cleared by DDCA and BCCI. Manjot Kalra started his professional cricket by representing Delhi in the Under-16 level and then he represented the Delhi at Under-19 level. Kalra has regularly played for Delhi in the junior age-groups and has also represented India U-19 during their tour to England in 2017.  He started playing cricket at the age of seven he began his straight path to the cricket ground, on the heels of his older brother. Hitesh Kalra, an elder brother of Manjot Kalra represented Delhi in the Age group as an Allrounder. Suresh Batra coached Manjot kalra as he found him very talented.

Manjot Kalra’s career started by representing Delhi in the various age groups but he attracted limelight in the season 2016-17 in the cooch behar trophy by scoring 742 runs in the 9 games helping Delhi to reach final of the tournament. His performance just came at right time when India were trying to make new Under-19 team. Kalra made his Youth One-Day International (ODI) debut at the age of 18, in February 2017, against the visiting England under-19 side.

While on the tour of England in 2017, Manjot Kalra could not make it to the ODI squad and he was only selected for Test Squad. He batted at number 4 and 122 off 117 balls in the first innings of the first game. Rest of the series was average for him.

He was then drafted into the India’s Under-19 squad for U-19 WC 2018 in New Zealand. In the India’s opening match against scored gritty 86 runs and justified his selection into the team. He was involved in a 180 runs partnership with the Captain of the team Prithvi Shaw. With Manjot Kalra, Prithivi Shaw and Shubam Gill at the top, India U-19 Batting lineup looks very solid.
