Kuldeep Yadav was born on 14 December 1994 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He represents Uttar Pradesh at the domestic level.
India’s first Chinaman Bowler
Kuldeep is India’s first Chinaman bowler that India have produced in it’s test history of 82 years.
Started as a Fast bowler
He started his career with fast bowling but his coach in Kanpur had different plans for him and made him a Chinaman bowler. His coach was Kapil Pandey that time, however it was difficult for Kuldeep to switch from left arm orthodox to Chinaman, but it paid Kuldeep big dividends.
Represented India at U-19 Level
He was selected for India U-19 team in 2012 but he was not selected for World Cup which India won.He represented India at the U-19 level in ICC U-19 World Cup in 2014.
He taken Hat-trick at both U-19 level and ODIs. In 2014 he took Hat-trick against Scotland in Under 19 world Cup Match. On September 21, 2017, he took Hat-trick in ODIs against Australia and became third bowler to take hat-trick in ODIs from India. Other two are Kapil Dev and Chetan Sharma.
Great Test Debut
Kupdeep Yadav was chosen for the first time in Indian squad for one off test match against Bangladesh. His test match debut was against Australia at Dharamshala in March 2017. He took 4 wickets on his debut.
ODI debut Game washed away
His ODI debut was against West indies in June 2017. He was not able to bowl even one ball because of rain and match ended no result. He bowled in 2nd match and took three wickets.
Son of Brick Kiln owner
Kuldeep Yadav is a son of brick kiln owner based in Unnao, but they moved from Unnao to Kanpur when Kuldeep was young due to which he was able to make cricket as a career.
Stint with Mumbai Indians
He was selected by Mumbai Indians in 2012 as a part of the squad but he didn’t get any game to play. But Kuldeep was happy that he got chance to bowl at Sachin Tendulkar in nets. In the following season Mumbai Indians decided against renewing his contract and then he was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for $66000.
