The movie has set record opening for the first day and it collected 25 crore net on its maiden day. It just shows action genre of the movies have huge potential if you cast right people. This is really an achievement for a movie releasing on non-holiday.

It has broken many records as it is the also the movie to be highest opening by young star. Previous record was held by Ranbir Kapoor for the film ‘Besharam’ which collected INR 19.87 crore.

Its success can also be attributed to the fresh pairing of the Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff. The movie also has some adventurous action sequences and catchy songs to backup the narration. Starring Tiger in the lead, the film follows his army man character’s journey to solve a mystery and find a missing child for his former flame played by Disha Patani.

Including all holiday and non-holiday movies. Baaghi 2 has become the 14th highest opening day grosser of all times. This list is headed by Bahubali and at the 13th spot is Amir Khan Starrer PK.  Salman Khan starrer Kick is at the number 15th spot. No doubt if Baaghi 2 had got a holiday release, it would have beaten many movies in the list.

As per the reports, the movie may drop 15-20% on the second day but it is still looking at the second day over 20 crore net. Baaghi 2 now tops the list of opening day highest grossing movies of Tiger Shroff. Also Baaghi 2 has no real competition as Raid is in its third week and Hichki is in 2nd week, their freshness have already gone.
